Neckarsulm, 19 June 2020 – Coordinating with Germany’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bechtle is taking on vocational trainees from companies that are unable to continue offering positions in the current economic climate. Those affected can apply to transfer their training programme at any one of Bechtle’s German locations. The IT company currently has 660 young people training for a total of seven technical and commercial professions on its books.
“Vocational training is an issue that’s very close to our heart, which is why we have decided to offer affected trainees the opportunity to continue and complete their programmes at Bechtle. In addition, we are giving young talents the prospect of kicking off a successful career in a very progressive industry”, says Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO, Bechtle AG.
As part of the initiative, trainees are being offered places to work towards the following professions under Germany’s vocational education and training system: IT systems management assistant, IT systems integration specialist, IT application development specialist, IT systems electronics engineer, office management assistant, management assistant for wholesale and foreign trade, and warehouse logistics expert.
The initiative is aimed at trainees regardless of the year they are in, allowing a vast number of trainees to apply. Successful applicants will be offered a new contract with Bechtle, and previously completed years and exams will be taken into account. More details on the various career paths at Bechtle can be found at bechtle-azubit.de. Further information can also be obtained from the central Bechtle HR team via e-mail ausbildung@bechtle.com.
