Bechtle will provide IT infrastructure equipment and related operation services for Corona vaccination centres in Germany and several other European countries. The IT service provider has been commissioned to deliver and configure desktops, laptops and peripheral devices, deploy network infrastructure, and provide technical support to ensure seamless IT operations.
Neckarsulm, 16 December 2020 – Microsoft has named Bechtle as an Azure Expert Managed Service Provider (MSP). The seal of excellence recognises Bechtle as an outstanding partner for the planning, migration and operation of cloud services on the Azure platform.
Bechtle joins the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), the Microsoft-initiated ecosystem that brings together leading software vendors and managed security service providers from across the cybersecurity industry.
Bechtle AG is creating the infrastructure required to embed further electric vehicles into its fleet, planning a medium-term jump from 80 charging points at the Bechtle Group’s German locations to up to 300 across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Coinciding with this advance is the addition of 50 VW ID.3 all-electric cars to the company’s fleet in Germany. Unified and efficient load management as well as the use of renewable energy at select sites complement the IT provider’s sustainable mobility strategy.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the persisting uncertainties, Bechtle AG continued to grow in the third quarter of 2020. From July to September 2020, the revenue went up 7.4 per cent to €1.4 billion.
This year’s Cisco Partner Summit on 29 October saw Bechtle walk away with three awards as one of the major winners among Cisco’s international partners. The day’s biggest prize sees Bechtle honoured as the technology giant’s outstanding partner worldwide.
Neckarsulm, 28 October 2020 – Bechtle AG ranked 1st place at the annual Top 500 Awards presented by German daily DIE WELT and consulting firm Accenture. Following a second place the year before, the award jury once again recognised the IT company’s outstanding growth against a field of corporate groups in Germany.
Preliminary figures show Bechtle AG’s earnings before taxes (EBT) in the third quarter up from €57.0 m in the previous year to over €70 m—a climb of more than 20%. Revenue in the period from July to September was at about €1,370 m, an increase of roughly 7% compared with the previous year (€1,276.3 m). The EBT margin grew accordingly and is expected to exceed 5% in Q3.
Uwe Burk changes from Dassault Systèmes to the ranks of Bechtle effective from 1 November and fills the newly created position of Executive Vice President CAD/CAM at Germany’s largest IT system house.
