Attendance of the Linux Basics and Administration I seminars or comparable knowledge. It is also required that participants can work with Shell, the most important Linux commands as well as a text editor.
Objective
This course is aimed at advanced Linux users and provides them with the tools they need to use the system even more productively. Building on basic system administration knowledge, this course covers the advanced use of the Bourne Again Shell as well as Shell programming using a host of practical examples. Topics also include using at and cron to run scheduled applications, an introduction to the internationalisation and localisation of Linux systems, the use and administration of the X11 graphical interface, plus an overview of accessibility settings.
