This course is an introduction to Linux administration. Building on knowledge of how to use Linux, it provides the most important theoretical and practical information on the configuration and running of a freestanding Linux computer. The course also covers an introduction to the purpose and problems of system administration, the basics of process management, working with file systems and allocation, the most common boot loaders, system start and stop processes, PC hardware plus library and package administration.
