Bechtle wins network tender for AOK sites in Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia

• Bechtle takes on network management for 450 locations across three federal states
• Expansion of long-standing collaboration with kubus IT

Neckarsulm, 13 July 2023 – Bechtle has concluded a framework agreement with kubus IT—the IT service provider for AOK Bayern and AOK PLUS (Saxony and Thuringia)—taking on the supply, installation and full operations of the network infrastructure of all AOK sites in Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia. The tender was awarded to the Bechtle IT System House in Chemnitz for a period of five years, a volume in the double-digit million range and with an option to extend.

The agreement will be implemented together with Bechtle Managed Services GmbH’s Remote Operation Centre (ROC) in Erfurt and Leipzig, where some 60 employees will monitor and manage the customer’s network. The provisioning of hardware is financed by Bechtle Financial Services while Bechtle Bonn’s Network Competence Centre handles design and migration. The framework agreement allows for the progressive roll out of network components at the regional AOK offices in Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia and is complemented by on-site services to support the extremely high security standards of the healthcare industry.

Bechtle Chemnitz has 30 years of experience, previously working with kubus IT on IT workplace equipment and printer management projects and now also providing them with Microsoft support services. “Over the last few years, we’ve built a very trusting partnership with kubus IT.
