Certified organisation.

Structured management systems are the technological foundation that allow us to build strong, trusting relationships with our customers and partners. They also enable us to make the most of our business opportunities and respond quickly to changes in the market. Many Bechtle Group companies are certified to the ISO 9001 standard for quality management. Bechtle AG is also certified to ISO 14001 for its environmental management system at our sites in Neckarsulm and Gaildorf. Our data centres in Frankfurt/Main and Rüsselsheim comply with the most stringent IT security standards under ISO 27001. Our customers can trust that their data—just like our own—is secure and handled in full compliance with European and German data protection standards.

Process quality.

ISO 9001 is a globally recognised quality management standard that certifies organisations with consistently high process quality. At Bechtle, we are committed to making our internal processes as transparent as possible, identifying and eliminating potential sources of error, and ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001 defines the requirements for our quality management system (QMS) and forms the basis of a continuous optimisation process—helping us refine our products and services to better meet customer needs. Regular internal audits, as well as annual external audits performed by DQS, ensure our quality management system is continually enhanced in line with ISO 9001.

Environmental protection.

ISO 14001 defines universally acknowledged criteria for an effective environmental management system (EMS). Bechtle is committed to protecting our environment and conserving natural resources. Introduced in 2011, Bechtle AG’s ISO 14001-certified EMS is an integral part of day-to-day operations at our German headquarters, Bechtle Platz 1. The certification was last renewed in 2014.

We continually monitor and reduce our environmental footprint—focusing on energy use for power and heating, paper and water consumption, emissions, and the recycling and reuse of materials. The responsible use of resources is embraced across the Bechtle Group, and we actively promote awareness among employees.

At our Neckarsulm headquarters, Bechtle operates a photovoltaic system generating around 1,900 kWp of renewable power. This energy is used to run our office facilities and charge electric and hybrid vehicles—making a valuable contribution to environmental protection and a sustainable energy supply.

Information security.

ISO 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management systems (ISMS) designed to protect data privacy, integrity, and availability. The ISMS in place at our data centres in Frankfurt and Rüsselsheim, Germany, undergoes annual certification audits to ensure sensitive data is protected by robust and effective safeguards. Customers who use Bechtle’s data centre services can trust their sensitive information is protected against misuse and unauthorised access, and is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Our Frankfurt data centre also hosts Bechtle’s cloud services.

Hosting and operations services delivered centrally by Bechtle AG and Bechtle Managed Services GmbH are covered by a joint ISO 27001 certification. Bechtle Managed Services GmbH is also certified to ISAE 3402 Type 2—an international standard for internal control systems, aligned with the ISO 27001 framework. Many Bechtle system houses also hold certifications such as TISAX—often required by automotive customers—as well as ISO 27001.

Health and safety.

In 2021, Bechtle AG introduced an occupational health and safety management system certified to the international ISO 45001 standard.
