Challenge.

The Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce wanted to enable its employees to effectively and meaningfully leverage generative AI in their day-to-day work. AI tools such as ChatGPT were previously only used to a limited extent, but the aim was to professionalise their application through a standardised training programme in order to teach basic digital skills and demonstrate the other possibilities afforded by the applications—all adapted to the various levels of the participants. To this end, a flexible and high-quality training programme was to be put together within a short period of time that would meet the individual needs of all employees.

The AI training was exactly what we needed. Bechtle proved itself to be a reliable partner that was enthusiastic about implementing our ideas. Solution.

Working together with the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce, Bechtle Learning Services and lennartgehl.com GmbH developed a tailored training programme consisting of two levels—basic training for all staff members and an advanced course for select participants. Together with lennartgehl.com GmbH, Bechtle organised a total of 29 training units held at the Chamber of Commerce’s premises. Both basic and advanced courses consisted of three three-hour modules that not only covered the fundamentals, but also more specialised content ranging from prompt writing and text optimisation to creating and using CustomGPTs. But that’s not all as employee awareness of data protection within AI and its ingenuity was also raised.

Bechtle and lennartgehl.com GmbH created a flexible concept that allowed the content to be adapted to the specific needs of the Chamber of Commerce, allowing the exceptional progress in the field of generative AI to be integrated. The concept foresaw practical experimentation with the technology at its heart, allowing participants to quickly put into practice what they had learned, while the accompanying digital handout made the content, experiments and resources easily accessible both during and after the course. Furthermore, the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce established an AI mentor team, which is kept up-to-date by Bechtle and lennartgehl.com GmbH on innovations relating to developments in generative AI, even after the training courses are finished.
