Neckarsulm, 21 January 2015 – Bechtle AG has added a fourth partner — Tokyo-based Japan Business Systems, Inc. (JBS) — to its global network, opening the door to a new, attractive market. The company has been active in the IT industry for 25 years, serving both business and public-sector cus-tomers. Its portfolio includes IT infrastructure, IT services and application development, as well as ERP and CRM solutions. JBS employs approxi-mately 770 people and recently generated an annual revenue of 160 million euros. Among its strategic partners are Apple, Cisco, Citrix, EMC, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung and VMware.
Bechtle has delivered yet again on its promise to expand its global network. Bechtle’s partnership with PC Connection (USA) in the first quarter of 2014 laid the groundwork for an international alliance that was expanded in the second quarter with Atea (Scandinavia and the Baltic states). A third partner, Lexel (New Zealand and Australia), was added in the fourth quarter. Called the Global IT Alli-ance (GITA), this network was spurred by the increasing demand of international businesses for comprehensive customer support around the world.
Superior Cross-border Service.
“When choosing suitable partners, we focus primarily on the high level of service we want to offer our customers, no matter where they’re located. Skill and speed are not the only components we look for. We also pay attention to cultural values like reliability and determination. These are important criteria for ensuring con-sistent customer satisfaction, regardless of whether our customers deal with us or our alliance partners,” states Jürgen Schäfer, Member of the Executive Board in charge of IT E-commerce at Bechtle AG.
Further Expansion of Global Network Planned.
Bechtle plans to continue pursuing alliances within and beyond Europe. The goal of the network is to make it easier for global customers to choose their interna-tional suppliers based on consistent criteria. “We want to to relieve our customers of the time-consuming task of searching for suitable IT partners for their interna-tional offices by offering a network of carefully selected, reliable partners,” ex-plains James Napp, Managing Director of Bechtle direct UK and responsible for GITA. “We have run a successful pilot programme over several months and feel that Japan Business Systems are a great fit with the Bechtle business model and culture.” Constructed over the past several months, the network expands Becht-le’s international presence and complements the group’s own geographic strate-gy. Bechtle is currently represented by 65 IT system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as e-commerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries. The IT group plans to grow its capabilities in the future through additional interna-tional subsidiaries as well as new global cooperation agreements.
