Every semester, many talented students gain their first professional experience at Bechtle as interns, working students, bachelor’s or master’s students. For some of them, it’s back to normal university life after six months. For others, there’s an extension. Since we want to stay connected with committed young talent in both cases, the Be Connected student retention programme has been in place at our Neckarsulm and Gaildorf sites since the beginning of 2021.
Exclusive benefits for tomorrow’s high flyers.
As a part of the programme, students benefit from exclusive offers until the end of their studies. These include networking events where students can get to know each other better, but also soft skill seminars for personal development. A personal contact person from the recruiting team provides support with questions about careers and individual opportunities at Bechtle. This keeps you in touch, optimises your own skills, and at the same time you meet lots of new people with whom you can talk about your studies, private matters, but also your time at Bechtle.
Two of our success stories...
...from the student retention programme written by Carolin and Cassian. Both started as interns at Bechtle, have been part of Be Connected from the beginning and have now been taken on permanently.
Cassian studied media and computing at the Media University and joined Bechtle in 2020 doing an internship in IT security. Within his work, he dealt with product evaluations in the area of vulnerability management and supported the analysis of security events and anomalies, among other things. He stayed on with the team as a vocational student and later wrote his bachelor thesis at Bechtle, on the topic of the implementation of a proof of concept with the setup and integration of suitable systems for malware analyses. The next step was then obvious—a job offer as an IT security specialist—the perfect conclusion of our student retention programme.
Be Connected gave me an ideal opportunity to stay in touch with Bechtle even after my internship semester. With great seminars for personal development and joint meetings with other students and colleagues, I was able to establish contacts and friendships, which would not have been possible in this form otherwise. Also the great support on all issues around future collaboration and possible opportunities were very valuable for me.

Carolin’s success story is quite similar. As a student of International Business at Heilbronn University, she completed her practical semester at Bechtle in 2020. In the area of Human Resources, she provided support in HR coordination as well as in the planning and communication of measures for our occupational health management. She too stayed on with the team as a vocational student and later wrote her Bachelor thesis at Bechtle. With so much connection and commitment, it was no surprise when Carolin continued her professional career at Bechtle after completing her studies. As an HR Specialist, she has been driving strategic occupational health management forward together with her team colleagues since April. The perfect end to her Be Connected journey.
With Be Connected, I had the opportunity to take part in exciting training courses in a friendly and fun community and to exchange ideas with other students at Bechtle over a joint dinner.
