Challenge.
Viva Luzern was looking to replace its analogue information boards at reception and in the restaurants with digital signage systems displaying weather forecasts, entertainment schedules, meal plans and information for employees. To handle information management and operations, Viva Luzern turned to a software solution provided by iPeak and 26 Samsung displays.
Solution.
After intensive consulting and coordination between Bechtle and Viva Luzern, the decision was made to use Samsung QM55B Smart Signage Monitors as they are not only high-spec to meet the customer’s requirements, but affordable too. With small Next Unit of Computing (NUC) PCs (Intel NUC i3/i5/i7) mounted behind each, the monitors were able to provide the necessary performance and flexibility. The NUC PCs were equipped with a basic Windows system and Bechtle configured them with iPeak remote software and player software.
The new digital signage solution installed by Bechtle was the next step towards Viva Luzern Eichhof’s digital future. Thanks to their professional consultation and implementation, we now have digital displays positioned at important points around our centres, which have considerably improved both internal and external communication. It’s impressive how this technology has enriched day-to-day life and supports us in our work. Without Bechtle, we never would have been able to handle the transformation so smoothly.
