The challenge.
The Grisoni Group wanted to modernise 10 of its conference rooms, spread throughout its branches, by equipping them with new video-conferencing systems. The COVID-19 crisis accelerated this process and made the group rethink its requirements.
The solution.
In order to assist our client in the transformation of its conference rooms and to facilitate their use, especially in this period of home office, our teams first studied the configuration of each of the Grisoni Group’s meeting rooms, taking into account the surface area, dimensions, number of seats and characteristics (nature of the walls, floors and ceilings).
In addition to the technical specifications, we considered our customer’s software requirements. The Grisoni Group actually uses different collaboration applications—Microsoft Teams is the standard tool for the group, but the solution also had to be able to support software such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Google Hangout and others. Moreover, different use cases had to be integrated in order to offer the right solution. Firstly, are users employees of the Grisoni Group, or an external agent?
Secondly, how many people can be in the same conference room? But also, what are the conditions of the meeting and the purpose of the equipment in the room? Is this a conference organised by an employee of the group, or are they a guest at the meeting? Does the participant use their own notebook or do they want to be able to arrive and hit the ground running? In view of all these requirements and our client’s needs, our teams recommended Poly G40-T solutions for the smaller rooms, while for the larger rooms, the Poly G85-T solution was proposed, enhanced by the Barco Click-Share solution for the Wi-Fi screen sharing system. Our teams installed each room, updated the software and commissioned all the equipment.
The particularly difficult period we have just gone through has helped to identify needs and speed up the process of setting up all our new conference rooms. ARP accompanied us in a very professional way in this project and was able to meet our expectations brilliantly. ARP’s employees have demonstrated that they are not only good listeners, but also excellent technicians who are adaptable and flexible and always solution-oriented.

Benefits.
„We were ready, in terms of our IT infrastructure, to deal with the pandemic. The same was not true of our conference rooms. So we started by quickly equipping our meeting rooms with cameras, but without specifically defined criteria and without being able to take into account the characteristics of each one. However, we wanted to take a long-term approach, so we decided to equip our multiple conference rooms in our branches with professional equipment. A call for tenders was then issued. ARP’s teams in French-speaking Switzerland were able to respond with solutions adapted to our different venues, depending on the characteristics of each. The proposal made to us was based on the Poly solutions, with integrated control. It’s a very intuitive system, you just click and it works, which saves us a lot of time. Everyone has adapted very quickly, even the most reluctant people have adopted these new tools, and are sometimes happy to save themselves journeys while being able to meet as if they were sharing the same room,“ explains Yannick Bürgisser. The solutions chosen to equip the various conference rooms of the Grisoni Group have many advantages. But the most important thing, certainly, is the ease of use including state-of-the-art ergonomics as well as support for all options for all forms of access—Wi-Fi or wired, multi-software, with or without a notebooks. Our motto in the Grisoni Group is „With confidence.” Trust is an essential factor in any collaboration. These maxims also apply to our relationship with ARP. At the end of this project, we can say that the ARP teams were able to break away from the image of just a sales team and become a serious, competitive, attentive and involved partner, with strong technical teams. We can only recommend their services for conferencing projects.“ concludes Yannick Bürgisser.
