Neckarsulm, 24 May 2024 – Bechtle has been announced as a winner at this year’s Best Managed Companies Awards. The prize is awarded by Deloitte Private, UBS, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) to businesses that display outstanding leadership and serve as a role model for other organisations to shape the future with a strategic vision, innovation, forward-thinking management culture, and excellent corporate governance. Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO of Bechtle AG, accepted the prize on 23 May during a gala event in Frankfurt.
“Bechtle is an outstanding example of a Best Managed Company that is driven by a powerful mix of vision, productivity, a spirit of innovation and strong value-oriented leadership. Furthermore, the company has an extraordinary ability to harmonise attractive working conditions and economic growth and is an example of how a business can make a significant difference in its region,” stresses Dr Christine Wolter, Partner and Lead at Deloitte Private.
Internationally established competition for the best-managed companies
The Best Managed Companies Programme was launched in the 1990s by Deloitte in Canada and is recognised as a seal of excellence with the vision of establishing a national and global ecosystem of extremely well-managed SMEs. Today, the programme has been successfully rolled out in more than 45 countries. “Bechtle and all the other award-winning companies are the cornerstones of our economy. They are doers and innovation leaders, they understand the importance of sustainable corporate leadership, and have a far-reaching vision for the future rather than taking each quarter as it comes. This is precisely why they have earned their Best Managed Company accolade,” says Markus Seiz, Director at Deloitte Private and Head of the Best Managed Companies Programme.
Impressive performance in all core categories
Companies are evaluated in the four key areas of Strategy, Productivity and Innovation, Culture and Commitment, as well as Governance and Financials. Within each of the relevant categories, Digitalisation, Sustainability and Purpose play a crucial role as future-oriented areas for development. Following an extensive, multi-stage coaching and evaluation process, the Best Managed Companies Award’s expert panel nominates a shortlist of businesses, which is then submitted to a jury of renowned names from the worlds of business, science and media to select the winners.
“The prize is based on an intensive review of our sustainable strategy, value-centred corporate culture and our financial success over the last four decades. It serves as recognition and confirmation that we are on the right path as we help our customers across Europe navigate and drive their digital transformation as their IT partner for the future. We are incredibly proud of the award, which is testament to the efforts of every single Bechtle employee,” says Dr Thomas Olemotz.
