The MTE712A M.2 SSD from Transcend is a self-encrypting drive (SED) that complies with the TCG Opal 2.0 standard The data is protected with hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption and sector-specific LBA authorisations (Logical Block Address). The MTE712A has a 112-layer 3D NAND flash as well as a PCI Express (PCIe) Gen 4 x4 interface and thus achieves previously impossible transfer speeds. The integrated DRAM cache enables high random speeds, while the 30 µ gold finger PCB, Corner Bond technology and anti-sulfur resistance guarantee exceptional reliability under adverse conditions.
