The USB extender is used to lengthen the distance between computer and USB devices by up to 50m. It consists of a transmitter (with USB cable with type A male, computer side) and a receiver (device side with integrated USB type A female).

A USB mains adapter (5V DC regulated 0.5 A min., e.g.
178568) must be connected to the receiver's power supply when connecting USB devices with power requirements higher than 100 mA.
