Certified business processes.

Structured management processes build the confidence of our customers and partners. They help us fully leverage our business opportunities and react quickly to market changes. Many Bechtle Group subsidiaries already boast ISO 9001 quality management certification. The Bechtle AG offices in Neckarsulm and Gaildorf, Germany, have also introduced an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system. And its data centres in Friedrichshafen, Neckarsulm and Rüsselsheim, Germany, comply with stringent IT security standards as certified by ISO 27001. That means our data—and, more importantly, your data—is safe and secure.

Process quality.

ISO 9001 quality management standard is a globally recognised hallmark of excellence. Certification requires all tested processes to demonstrate outstanding quality. To us, it means increasing the transparency of our operating procedures and uncovering potential problem areas in an effort to boost customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001 sets out requirements for quality management systems (QMS). Certification is just the beginning of an ongoing process of improvement. This means implementing measures to enhance the quality of our products and services, so that we can better meet the needs of our customers. Regular reviews of our ISO 9001 certification underpin our long-term commitment to quality—and highlight what we’ve done to optimise our way of doing business. And we have already completed implementation of the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Environmental protection.

ISO 14001 defines universally acknowledged criteria for environmental management systems (EMS). Bechtle is committed to protecting the environment, and we strive to use our resources responsibly. Bechtle AG was certified against ISO 14001 after introducing an EMS in 2011. The system has since become an integral part of daily business at Bechtle’s headquarters, leading to recertification in 2014.

The EMS has enabled us to identify and continually reduce our environmental footprint. Our efforts have saved energy for electricity and heating, reduced the consumption of paper and water, and lowered emissions. We’ve also consistently brought recycled products back on the market, giving them a new lease on life. The fundamental principle of EMS—which is to save resources and use them responsibly—applies to Bechtle AG and all other Group subsidiaries. Our employees are made aware of issues concerning the environment.

We’ve also increased the use of hardware virtualisation technology, further reducing the energy required by our data centres. The number of people participating in video conferences nearly doubled in a single year. This means fewer in-person presentations and less business travel, shrinking our adverse impact on the environment. Since 2014, Bechtle AG has also made 27 electric cars available at multiple sites for all employees to use as part of the vehicle pool. The sites in question have even installed charging stations for these vehicles.

The subsidiary Bechtle Remarketing GmbH specialises in collecting used IT hardware from customers in order to refurbish and resell it or dispose of it in an environmentally responsible manner. The roof of the Group’s central logistics hub in Neckarsulm, Germany, is decked out with 17,000 square metres of photovoltaic solar panels. This resource-saving energy supply is just one of the many ways Bechtle is helping to save the Earth.

Bechtle AG was certified against ISO 14001 after introducing an EMS in 2011. The system has since become an integral part of day-to-day business at Bechtle’s headquarters.

Information security.

ISO 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management systems (ISMS). The core purpose of an ISMS is to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability—which are absolutely vital when you rely on IT for critical business processes day in, day out. Bechtle’s data centres in Neckarsulm, Frankfurt and Rüsselsheim, Germany, have successfully recertified their information security management, demonstrating their ability to effectively manage data security. If you rely on Bechtle’s data centre services, rest assured that your sensitive information is treated with utmost confidentiality, keeping it safe from unauthorised access and misuse. Bechtle’s data centre in Frankfurt provides cloud and other services for our customers. Also certified are the subsidiaries PP 2000 (ISO 27001 native) and Bechtle System House Obermörlen (ISO 27001 based on IT based on IT baseline protection).
