Back in 2023, the mock interview day started as students spent the morning developing their own innovative business ideas. They were tasked with presenting these ideas in a Dragons' Den-style format to a panel of our volunteers. The feedback from this day was overwhelmingly positive. One of our volunteers said "The quality of the ideas was amazing, with many of the students demonstrating an ability to identify unique selling points and solutions that could be marketable to actual customers. The students seemed to really enjoy the critical appraisal and advice; their passion was evident throughout the day!"
In 2024, another member of our Chippenham team volunteered to run practice interviews throughout the day to give the students an idea of what’s to come in their next steps after finishing their studies. She said "It went really well. The students were all lovely, and it felt great to be helping the community and representing Bechtle. Some of my highlights were meeting the students and hearing about their ambitions for the future."
Our contact at Hardenhuish school has said the students feedback was exceedingly positive with the students feeling grateful to have this experience. We are proud to support initiatives with high social value and we believe by investing in the development of young minds, we are not only contributing to their future success but also shaping a brighter future for all. One of the other ways we do our part to help is through offering work experience to local students in our Chippenham and Northampton offices.
