The Challenge

Having worked with Bechtle on previous projects - most notably their first hotel build in 2012 - the team at Hotel La Tour approached Bechtle once again to support with their technology requirements. Included within this was the need for a complete data networking solution.

OBJECTIVES

  • To provide a complete networking solution including LAN, wireless LAN and WAN to support the hotel’s operations, staff and guests
  • To design and implement an efficient server and cloud infrastructure
  • To provide end-point devices for day to day hotel operations

The Solution

From initial conversations, through to the design, build, and day to day Managed Services, Bechtle worked with the IT team at Hotel La Tour to build a complete networking solution. This included LAN design, supplying and commissioning the network switching, wireless LAN, firewalls and routers, internet connectivity, a cellular phone signal booster solution, server and cloud infrastructure, and end-point devices. Where additional skills outside of Bechtle’s in-house expertise were required, such as the installation of data cabling, Bechtle arranged for this to be carried out by trusted sub-contractors, ensuring the work was completed to high standards and in compliance with all current installation standards.

The entire project was commissioned and documented in line with the specified standards, including liaison with a wider variety of Bechtle partners and the hotel’s main build contractor and M&E contractors.

Today the solution is supported by a wrap-around 24/7 Managed Service providing support to the Hotel La Tour staff, ensuring systems deliver and are maintained in a secure and proactive manner for the long-term, as well as
ongoing consultancy.
