Bechtle direct Portugal has come a long way in 14 years.
In 2009, our parent company, Bechtle AG, decided to seed fund a new subsidiary in Portugal, allowing us to open our office in Aveiro, develop local partnerships, build up an excellent, multidisciplinary team, and kickstart our commercial activity. When we set out, we knuckled down to acquire new customers in the country and develop a solid customer base, and for the next 14 years continued to focus on what we’ve been doing ever since—delivering e-commerce excellence with a dedicated team that cares for every one of our customers.
The launch of our online shop was a critical milestone. Our customer-centric viewpoint is the opposite of a cookie-cutter approach, as customers have very different needs in terms of portfolio and functionality. That’s why we offer a highly customised procurement platform with individual product catalogues (including custom configurations and solutions) and the option to integrate it with their own procurement system. This allows customers to simply place orders within their own environment, eliminating the need to work with yet another tool and thus saving their purchasing teams real time throughout the process.
