Neckarsulm, 12 April 2016 – Bechtle’s Competence Days once again drew crowds of visitors, with a record-breaking 2,500 customers attending the event at Bechtle headquarters on 6 and 7 April. In addition to more than 70 presentations by Bechtle experts, live demos and one-on-one discussions gave attendees insight into the opportunities of future-ready technology. The keynote speaker, Dr Gunter Dueck, presented an absorbing—and equally entertaining—assessment of the importance of digitisation in the business world.
This is Bechtle’s twelfth edition of the major customer event, held at the company’s headquarters in southwestern Germany. This year’s theme revolved around digitisation as the future of IT. Diverse presentations introduced the latest solutions from all areas of business IT. They were supplemented by an exhibition with numerous application scenarios and reference projects, letting customers discover first-hand the benefits of digitisation. Topics ranged from mobile 3D film studios and virtual-reality applications to innovative building mapping and digital parcel boxes.
Praise for event format.
“The feedback we have received from customers, partners and participating Group employees has been tremendous—the event has yet again made great strides forward,” explains Gerhard Marz, Executive Vice President at Bechtle and initiator of the company’s Competence Days. The event’s strategy combines three elements into a successful whole: a wide-ranging technology fair, expert insight from Bechtle’s Competence Centres and specialised subsidiaries, and the opportunity to talk shop one on one. Attendance figures this year exceeded 2,500, nearly 25 percent more than in 2015.
